Medical marijuana for headaches: evidence and eligibility
Early research should not be described as proof that cannabis will relieve headaches. A small observational study cannot establish how a treatment compares with alternatives or predict an individual patient’s result. Discuss persistent headaches, current treatments and cannabis use with a qualified health professional.
Eligibility requires an individual assessment
Headaches are not a named condition on Florida’s list. A qualified physician must determine whether a patient meets an applicable program category and whether medical marijuana is appropriate. A symptom or an appointment does not guarantee certification. See the official Florida requirements and eligibility guide.
Consider risks and interactions
Cannabis can cause impairment and other adverse effects, and products can interact with medicines. Do not treat CBD as automatically safe or use this article to select a dose, replace treatment or predict a drug-test result. Discuss your medical history and treatment options with your physician.
